Julian Gray, 28mm return for their highly anticipated follow up to 2021's AIR with Take Me Back.
The highly anticipated follow up to 'AIR' is out now! 🌿
Take Me Back explores the heartfelt longing to retrace the steps to a time you spent with someone vou loved.
Even if vou're not in each other lives anymore, vou'll always have the memories.
This record is really special to us. About 6 months prior to release, 28mm and I got into the studio to write some new material that felt like a successor to our 2021 record ‘Air’. That song was such a magical moment for us and we wanted to try to reignite the same flame a second time around. I think we landed on something really special and equally beautiful, yet that lives in its own space and style. Take Me Back is about reminiscing about a time past, a very fitting theme for a song with a story this personal to us. We hope you love it as much as we do.
Julian Gray & Midnite Amity present 'Between The Lines', Available now on Enhanced Recordings
Julian Gray's Debut Single on Monstercat, 'Losing My Mind' is available now, a project with long time collaborator Bound To Divide (Jules) featuring the vocal talents of Avrii Castle.
“Losing My Mind was an opportunity to work with some old companions I know and love. I’ve known Jules (Bound To Divide) for many years, and even worked on earlier material together half a decade ago. I’m glad to rekindle that bond and bring our styles together again formally. Avrii and his manager Zashanell are creatives i've admired and collaborated with for several years, and I always adore the songwriting from their camp, some of the best in the business in my opinion.”
- Julian Gray
“Losing My Mind draws from true story. It’s about allowing your heart to be your compass, even if it leads youto a room full of memories. It’s that feeling of being happy something magical happened and sad that it’snow gone. “What if” Isn’t a bad thing if it’s what helps you keep going. It’s a Ying and Yang of emotions. Atthe end of the day it’s better to have been pricked than to have never held a rose.”
- Avrii Castle
“When I initially wrote the first version of the instrumental it gave me a sort of bittersweet, happy but sad feeling. I really wanted to amplify this and Julian Gray along with Avrii Castle really brought the song to life.”

KJ Sawka (Pendulum, Illenium, Destroid) and Blake Lewis (American Idol season 6 runner up, Billboard #1 Dance Artist) release 'Afterglow' as part of their new collaborative project "The Private Language" on Blackhole recordings. Stream Julian's dark progressive remix now
In 2016, I spearheaded a huge YouTube collaborative music project called “Collab Alliance” featuring SeamlessR, Slynk, KJ, Multiplier, Mr. Bill & Ryanosaurus (AKA Electrocado) John Miller, and myself. It was during this time that I met KJ Sawka and our collaborative journey began.
Afterglow is the latest in a long line of projects we’ve worked on together, but is our first musical collaboration since 2016.
In 2007 when I was in 4th grade, I remember watching American Idol with my mother, and latching on to one contestant in particular for his originality and ‘beatboxing’, a skill I had never seen until now. That contestant was Blake Lewis. The summer of that year, inspired by Blake, I was hooked on trying to learn to beatbox myself, eventually leading into a love of DJing, and writing my own music.
A lot of my early interest in DJing and electronic music culture was inspired by Blake Lewis, the singer of my latest remix, Afterglow.
Julian Gray, 28mm & FORTS team up for the anthemic and heartfelt AIR.
